VENUE

The Jerusalem International Congress Center (ICC), situated at the main entrance to Jerusalem, is the Congress venue. The ICC has ample parking and is very close to the main Jerusalem bus station.

TIMETABLE

The Congress will commence on Monday morning, November 2, 2009.

 

LANGUAGE

The Congress will be conducted in English.

*Resident or student identification must be submitted together with the registration form.

 

Fee for participants and residents/students includes:  congress kit, program and abstract book, participation in all scientific sessions, 3 lunches and coffee at breaks

All participants must submit a registration form.

 

Fee for accompanying persons includes two tours to be arranged during session

 times. The tours will be departing from the ICC (with drop off at the David Citadel Hotel and the ICC).

 

 

PAYMENT

Payment for registration fees must be paid directly to the Secretariat and can be made by check, bank transfer* or credit card.  Kindly refer to the registration form for details.  Please ensure that registration forms are submitted together with payment (one per participant) and that details stated are clear and legible.

 

*    Please ensure that the name/s of the participant/s and Congress are clearly stated on

     the bank transfer.

 

CANCELLATION POLICY  

Our refund policy is based upon receiving notification as follows:

§ Received until August 1 - full refund less US$100 handling fee

§ Received after August 1 and before October 1, 2009 - 50% refund

§ Received from October 2, 2009  -  no refund

 

LETTER OF INVITATION

Upon request, the Congress Secretariat will send a personal letter of invitation to participate in the Congress.  It should be understood that such an invitation is only meant to assist participants raise travel funds or obtain a visa and does not represent a commitment on the part of the Organizing Committee.


 

VISAS

Some participants may require a visa to enter Israel.  We suggest that you contact the Israeli Embassy/Consulate in your country or ask your travel agent for assistance. If you have difficulty in obtaining a visa kindly contact the Secretariat.

 

CLIMATE AND CLOTHING

The temperature in Jerusalem in early November is approx 22oC (71o F) during the day, and cooler at night.

We suggest you bring light clothing for the day and a jacket for the evening.

Direct flights exist from most major airports in northern America, Europe, India, China, Thailand and Africa by

El Al Israel Airlines as well as by other International carriers. If you need advice on the most cost-effective routes and airlines please contact the Secretariat.

 

IMPORTANT NOTES

Personal travel, luggage and health insurance is recommended. Please purchase this from your local travel agent. Kindly note that the organizers and other sponsors cannot be responsible for participants lacking appropriate insurance coverage in case of need.

All tours are booked on the express condition that Target Conferences shall not be held responsible for and shall be exempt from all liability in respect of any loss, damage, injury or accident, to any person or his or her luggage or any other property, for any reason whatsoever

THE CITY OF DAVID

09:00       Meet at the Jerusalem International Convention Center for a drive around the Old City Walls to

the City of David.

The tour begins with a breathtaking view of biblical Jerusalem. The journey heads underground

to some of the newest excavations at the City of David. While exploring the recently excavated fortresses and passageways, visitors re-live King David’s conquest of the Jebusite City.

This tour involves a large amount of walking and some stair climbing, so comfortable walking shoes will be needed.

Ends at about 12:30 and there will be a transfer to the David Citadel Hotel and back to the ICC (Crowne Plaza)

SUPREME COURT AND EIN KAREM

09:00    Meet at the Jerusalem International Convention Center for a short drive to the Supreme Court for a guided tour of this unique building renowned for its stunning architecture. On to Ein Karem, the birthplace of John the Baptist. Return to the Crowne Plaza (ICC) at about 13:00 and to the David Citadel at about 13:30.
